There’s only 2 months left in the year, which means I’m on the home stretch for my 52 in 52 list. I figured it was time I reviewed what I still had to write about, what I still had to complete altogether, and what I’ve failed altogether (and therefore have to donate money to charity).
To be blogged:
- Splurge on 5 sets of matching bras/underwear (I have to purchase 2 sets, have two already and have to blog one)
- Run 100kms over the course of the year (tracked using a GPS iPhone app)
- Raise money for charity
- Attend a concert
- Go to the casino and play a table game
- Sit and read a book in a park
- Climb a tree
- Build a snow or sand sculpture
- Host a themed party
- Go to the movies alone – 3 times (I have gone once that was blogged, once that needs to be blogged, and have to go one more time yet)
- Go for one month without drinking coffee (coke for Jo)
To be completed:
- Get a skin cancer check
- Splurge on 5 sets of matching bras/underwear (I have to purchase 2 sets, have two already and have to blog one)
- Celebrate the 12 days of Christmas
- Go for a night out and dance
- Blog each 52 in 52 challenge and donate $5 for each thing not completed (technically this can’t be done until the end of the year anyway)
- Have a candlelit dinner
- Send a package to a friend I’ve been out of touch with
- Do 50 pushups straight
- Read 8 novels, including 2 recommended by Jo (I have 4 books remaining on this)
- Go to a gay bar
- Donate blood (although I don’t think this is going to be possible now that I had surgery recently, I’ll need to investigate)
- Do something nice for a stranger – pay it forward
- Colour in a picture to send to someone to display on their fridge
- Work out every day for 2 weeks straight
- Create a scrapbook
- See a sunrise 5 times
- Knit a scarf
- Take a trip on a train
- Create a home-made calendar for my mum
- Send a message in a bottle
- Stick to a budget for a month
- Go to the movies alone – 3 times (I have gone once that was blogged, once that needs to be blogged, and have to go one more time yet)
- Grow some herbs and use them in cooking
- Wear a dress out to dinner
- Buy unique headwear and wear it
What I’ve failed:
- Learn the thriller dance and perform it on October 29th for Thrill the World (I had my Halloween party, and completely forgot to do the dance at midnight, oops)
- Complete Project 365 – a photo every day for the year (I burned out towards the middle of the year from a lot of things, and gave up taking a photo every day as well as taking a break from uni)
My thoughts
Um, shit. I still have 25 things to do!! That’s nearly half of the freaking list! I didn’t realise I was THAT far behind! Ok, time to get serious and get some planning underway.
I also didn’t realise I had done so many that I hadn’t blogged yet. No wonder my list is looking so horrific.
Time to stick my head down, ass up and get some stuff done!
