Happy Mother’s Day Mum (aka Lynne O’Brien). Thank you for being such a wonderful Mum to me, even in my rebellious days, and constantly inspiring me with your dedication to helping others. The most unselfish person I know, and who deserves a million good things.
This photo was taken while we were out to lunch for Mother’s Day. My sister Amy O’Brien couldn’t make it, so we decided to take a photo of us waving to her. Instead, my man hands and skeletal fingers are highlighted. Hmph.
It’s now been a month since Mat and I broke up. During that time I have had some dark days, some really dark days, and some good days. I’m still not back to my old self, and I’m not sure I ever will be back to that person. That was Kelly in a partnership with Mat, the Kelly who had spent 11 years growing up counting on the man beside her. He’s gone, and so has she.
In the next few months you will see me slowly starting to figure out who I am. I don’t know myself as an adult. I don’t know what I’m capable of, and how I cope by myself. I expect to make mistakes, I expect to have some dark days, but most of all, I expect that I will get through it all.
How can I not, when I have you all behind me?
Spent Australia Day with my family and had an amazing day. To top it off, Roar won their game against Wellington…so close to the premier’s plate now!
Today we randomly up and left to Toowoomba to visit Mat’s Dad (and his gf). It was great to see them, not so great for the car to break at the same time.
My aunty, uncle and cousins are staying up on the coast for a week, so the family converged on their apartment today to play some games and have a few drinks. I am yet to meet anyone that doesn’t enjoy playing smart ass.
