Appointment with the Surgeon
Well, I’m booked in to meet with the surgeon for the first time next Wednesday at Nambour Hospital. I will have to really “get my limp on” to encourage them to book me in ASAP *grin*.
It’s a bit strange, but I’m really getting quite excited about getting it all done. More than anything, I just want to be able to have confidence in my knee so I don’t feel so limited anymore. If I want to run, I’ll be able to run. If I want to take my dog for a walk, I can do it without stressing about how far we’re walking and whether my knee will give out. And I can’t wait to be able to touch my knee to the back of the carpet when lying flat on the ground (I’m doing physio exercises and at the moment I can do this with my good knee, but not my bad one).
It really just feels like being normal is a luxury, and I want to be rich.
I’ll keep you posted on what happens, and if we lock in a date for the reconstruction. How exciting!
