Photo of the day
So I decided to give the HDR technique a bit of a crack. 5 photos shot at 1/2 exposure intervals. The pictures were then brought together using photomatix, before final touch ups done in Photoshop.
My initial thoughts are it’s not too bad for a first attempt, but there’s a lot of room for improvement. I need to work on getting less noise (it REALLY bugs me just how much there is in the photo), along with perhaps my composition of this shot. I’m also kicking myself for not having my polariser lens on there, as the water reflections are annoying me a bit too.

I dunno, I kind of like the reflections, it adds a little bit more colour.

Frankly, I think the reflections are what sells this shot! While the HDR is interesting i think you over processed and are ending up with an image that is too flat without really any contrast other then the reflections on the water. Very nice first try though!
