My sister was unfortunate enough to be involved in a motor accident today. She was riding her scooter, and the driver of a car didn’t look and pulled out into the street directly in front of her. Amy didn’t have time to brake, hit the side of the car and flipped over the bonnet, landing on the other side of the car on the road. Thankfully, she has only sustained a broken leg (albeit a bad break) and a broken & split toe, plus bruises and a bit of road rash on her left thigh. I am so grateful that she is largely intact, and still with us (as many people are unlucky enough to lose their lives daily in motor accidents).
I can’t remember what we were going for in this photo, I think we were pretending she was in absolute pain or something (in fact, she’s doped up on morphine). The controller for the bed is in the foreground…bed goes up, bed goes down, bed goes up….
Just a reminder to everyone – keep a look out for scooters and bicycles! Be aware before you pull out into a street. The potential victims and their family/friends and loved ones would be very grateful!
