I’ve decided that for the next 7 days I’m going to focus on taking photos around my home. Restricting my location will force me to become creative, which is exactly what I need right now.

Today I looked up and noticed the contrast between the bricks, the roof tiles, and the sky. It immediately screamed HDR at me, and this is the result. I love the texture in this shot, and the patterns in the sky. My only self criticism would be the halo over the top of the tiles…I wish I’d seen that when I was still editing so that I could have adjusted the sky and removed the halo.
