Today I went and donated plasma at the Maroochydore Blood Donation Centre. Unfortunately, it appeared that I wasn’t hydrated enough and my veins weren’t exactly willing to play today. They still managed to get enough to make it worthwhile though, I’d hate to think I’d been pricked with a needle all for nothing!!
I highly recommend that anyone who can donate should. It doesn’t take long, there’s minimal pain, and you help so many, many people in need. It’s so simple, there’s really no excuse.

I think the blood just drained out of my arm looking at it. That’s either a huge needle or a bad angle

Nope, they’re friggin huge. It’s not good looking at them and seeing just how big the hole at the end is too, makes you think “goddamn…that thing is going to be IN me?!”
