Kelly's World

This morning I rose at 5am and drove for 2 hours south so I could work at a music festival. We met at 8am, and by 11am the festival was underway. My role was crowd care; making sure there was no one suffering bad drug/alcohol reactions (whether they’d had too much, or a bad trip etc), and more generally spraying the crowd with water to make sure they didn’t overheat.

Surprisingly, most of the cases we had during the day were related to alcohol. The heat was making everyone dehydrated, and no one seemed too concerned with drinking any water. After they’d come back to the tent, consumed water and had a lie down for a few hours, most of them recovered well enough to continue on with the festivities.

This photo was taken at night, as I was walking past one of the amusement rides. I need to point out the photo was taken with my iPhone, and not my regular camera (since there was no way I would be able to take my camera with me for the day).
