To be totally truthful, I actually finished this a bit over a week ago. It’s the story of Natascha, who was abducted in Austria when she was only 10 years old. She was held captive for an astounding 8 years, during which time she built up a complex relationship with her kidnapper. Eventually, she made her escape into freedom.
I wouldn’t say the book is exactly “gripping”, there’s no big cliff hangers at the end of each chapter that keep you on the edge and make you want to read more. However, the book is incredibly interesting, and you will still easily be compelled to finish it. I won’t do a full review, since I’m definitely not literary critic, however I definitely think the book is worthwhile reading. More information on the book can be found at the official Penguin Publishers website.
