This is probably just another of my silly ideas, but you can’t say it wouldn’t be unique!! A new digital photo frame has been released by Aequitas, called the iGala. The frame features (amongst several other things) the ability to email photos to the frame’s own gmail account.
Now, if there was a setting to display photos as they were emailed it would open the door to have a lot of fun. Picture this – you go on holidays by yourself (as a certain person just did recently), and would like to keep your family and loved ones updated on how things are going, and where you’re at. Simply take a picture with your iphone, then using a combination of 3g and the inbuilt function to email pictures you can email it to the photo frame, and WHA-LA! New picture appears in the frame for them to see.
How fun would it be to be the person at home! If it was me, I would wake up every morning excited to see the latest photo. Definitely an interesting way to keep people updated, although it wouldn’t replace the requisite “phone home” every now and then.
