Being a bit of a “share information for free” type person I’ve tried to avoid the google ads scenario for over a year. Malcolm and Russell convinced me to put it on though when they said that it would be funny to see what ads came up based on the content that I write about.

If you’ve ever used gmail you’ll have noticed these ads and it is sort of a game to discover what google thinks your email is about. So now I’m going to play it on my website. I wonder what this post will bring?

Also, if you are feeling generous you could click on one of the ads as everytime someone does I get a teeny tiny amount of money deposited in to my account. If the clicks ad up I could be a millionare! But probably not. 🙁

If you’ve been paying attention you may have also noticed the new tivo link in the sidebar. This takes an RSS feed from the tivo and displays it on the page so you the reader can know what my tivo is doing at the exact moment you are looking at my site. I’ve been surprised to learn that my tivo has a penchant for watching quilt shows when I’m not home. What a quaint little thing that advanced piece of technology is.

I think my favourite ad you’ve got up at the moment is “Treasure Pirate for Sale”.

Hey this game could keep me amused for hours…

Me too! I think I’m going to be looking at your site doubly as much now!! If I click on your ads lots will you give me 10c out of your little money? 🙂 If I got REALLY good at clicking, I could almost make it a daily job to just sit & click, and then your income could support me daily. Hrm, I think I’m onto something here.

I’ve always wanted to get a “Discount Treasure Pirate” from ebay. All the ones I look at are too expensive. 🙂

I’m not sure whether google ads only allow a click from the one ip every few minutes. I’m sure they’ve built in that sort of checking to stop automated bots from making you big dough.

I told you I’d be checking your site everyday just to see what google ads you had showing 🙂

No good ones for this post – just silly things like “add a quote a day to your blog” *clicks on it*.

I think I might add google ads to mine too, because I’m always talking nonsense (e.g. swollen ankles, fat men in red suits) hahahaha

Yeah I’d come for that – although my morning work ritual is to read the latest Garfield cartoon already.
